Getting to and from the Paris airports

If you are arriving or departing by plane from the Paris region there are plenty of options to get to the airport including shuttle buses and automatic metros. Find out what is the best for you on your journey to or from the airport.

It is easy to get to the nearest station thanks to the extensive metro, bus, tram and RER networks across the region. But that is not always true for the airports.

Here are all the details you need to know to get to and from the two Paris airports (Roissy CDG and Orly).

Getting to and from Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport (CDG)

By RoissyBus shuttle bus

The RoissyBus route operates air-conditioned buses (with free WiFi) and serves all CDG airport terminals from Paris (Opéra).

The shuttle runs every 15 to 20 minutes in both directions.

The journey time is 60 to 75 minutes.

Where and when can I find RoissyBus?

  • In Paris the bus leaves from the corner of rue Scribe and rue Auber at 11 rue Scribe, Paris 9th, near Auber RER station. From the airport, it leaves from all terminals (look for signs in the airport).
  • The shuttle runs from 5:15 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. to the airport, and from 6 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. to Paris.

How much does the ticket cost and where can I buy one?

The RoissyBusticket costs :

  • €14.15 if loaded onto a Navigo Easy or Navigo Liberté+ pass

  • €16.20 if bought as a paper ticket

By RER B

All RER B stations connect to CDG airport by train.

Trains run every 6 to 15 minutes in both directions.

The journey takes between 25 and 30 minutes.

Where and when can I find an RER B train to CDG?

You can leave from any RER B station. At the airport, look for signs to find your way.

Trains run to the airport :

  • from Gare du Nord between 4:53 a.m. and 12:15 a.m. / from Châtelet-Les Halles between 5:26 a.m. to 12:11 a.m. / from Denfert-Rochereau between 5:18 a.m. and 12:03 a.m.

To Paris from the airport :

  • between 4:50 a.m. to 11:50 p.m.

How much does a ticket cost and where can I buy one?

To travel on the RER B to Charles de Gaulle Airport, you have several options :

You can buy your ticket from ticket machines at stations.

By bus routes : 351 or 350

Bus 350 from Porte de la Chapelle

The 350 bus runs every 15 to 35 minutes and connects Paris Porte de la Chapelle and CDG airport in 60 to 80 minutes depending where you get on.

It runs from:

  • 5:33 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. from Paris to the airport
  • 6:05 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. from the airport to Paris

Bus 351 from Nation

Bus 351 runs every 15 to 30 minutes and connects Paris-Nation and CDG airport in 70 to 90 minutes depending where you get on.

It runs from:

  • 5:33 a.m. - 8:20 p.m. from Paris to the airport
  • 7 a.m. - 9:37 p.m. from the airport to Paris

Getting to and from Orly Airport

By OrlyBus shuttle bus

The OrlyBus route operates air-conditioned buses (with free Wi-Fi) and serves all terminals at Paris Orly airport, just look for signs at the airport. In Paris it leaves from the bus station at Place Denfert-Rochereau.

OrlyBus runs every 8 to 15 minutes in both directions.

The journey takes 25 to 30 minutes.

Where and when can I find the OrlyBus?

  • OrlyBus leaves from Place Denfert-Rochereau, Paris, 14th. The RER B Denfert-Rochereau station is the nearest.
  • The bus runs from 5:35 a.m. to midnight (to the airport) and from 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. (to Paris).

By Orlyval automatic metro

The Orlyval is an automatic metro that connects Orly airport and all its terminals to the RER B at Antony station.

It runs every 5 to 7 minutes in both directions.

The journey takes 6 minutes.

Where and when can I find the Orlyval?

  • The Orlyval leaves from Antony station on the RER B : Boulevard Pierre Brossolette, 92160 Antony.
  • It runs daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:35 p.m.

How much does a ticket cost and where can I buy one?

  • The Orlyval ticket costs:€14.10 as a paper ticket
  • €7.05 for 4–9 year-olds
  • It is free for under 4s
  • No additional cost if you have a Paris Visite pass valid in all zones.

  • At commercial agencies located : Porte 12d (Orly 1,2,3), Porte 48a (Orly 4) and at Antony gare station

By T7 tram

The T7 tram connects the two Villejuif-Louis Aragon stations in Val-de-Marne (71) to Orly airport.

The tram runs every 8 to 15 minutes in both directions.

The journey time depends on where you get on. It is 45 minutes from Villejuif-Louis Aragon to Orly airport.

When does the T7 run?

The tram runs daily between 5:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m.
