Paris 2024 Mass Participation Marathon: transport through the night

On 10 August, under the city lights, more than 40,000 amateur athletes will follow in the footsteps of the Olympic runners, for an exceptional sporting and festive event, unique in the history of the Games.
Two race options are available for those registered:
● The full 42.195 km route of the Olympic Marathon linking Paris to Versailles, passing through Boulogne-Billancourt, Sèvres, Ville-d'Avray, Viroflay, Meudon and Issy-les-Moulineaux, starting at 9 p.m.
● A 10-kilometre race through the architectural and historical sights of Paris, starting at 11:30 p.m.
Both routes will start from Paris City Hall (parvis de l’Hôtel de Ville) and end at the Esplanade des Invalides.
To facilitate transport for the runners and the large number of people coming to support them, some of the Ile-de-France metro lines will be running all night.
Paris Mass Participation Marathon: several metro and RER lines open all night
On the night of the Mass Participation Marathon (10/11 August 2024) trains will stop at the following stations all night:

Château de Vincennes, Nation, Gare de Lyon, Bastille, Châtelet, Palais-Royal Louvre Museum, Franklin D. Roosevelt, George V, Charles-de-Gaulle Étoile, Porte Maillot, Pont de Neuilly and La Défense-Grande Arche

Porte Dauphine, Charles-de-Gaulle Étoile, Place de Clichy, Anvers, Barbès Rochechouart, Jaurès, Belleville, Père Lachaise and Nation
Metro Line 4
Bagneux-Lucie Aubrac, Mairie de Montrouge, Porte d'Orléans, Denfert-Rochereau, Montparnasse-Bienvenüe, Saint-Michel, Châtelet-Les Halles, Strasbourg Saint-Denis, Gare de l'Est, Gare du Nord, Barbès Rochechouart and Porte de Clignancourt

The last departure is scheduled at 02:54 from Invalides.

More night buses on the night of the Mass Participation Marathon
In addition to the metro lines and RER C that will be operate all night, Île-de-France Mobilités is increasing the number of night buses to facilitate travel to the outer suburbs.
Throughout the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a night bus is scheduled every 20 minutes compared to 30 minutes normally.
For the Mass Participation Marathon, routes N01 and N02, which circle Paris, will leave every three minutes:
● From Franklin D. Roosevelt, heading north
● From Assemblée Nationale, heading south
Please note there is no bus service between Franklin D. Roosevelt and Invalides.
To note
Several bus routes will be modified on the day of the marathon to avoid traffic restrictions. The terminus of most of these routes will be changed to avoid crossing the River Seine.

Park-and-ride facilities open all night to get in and out of Paris
To make it easy for everyone to get to and from Paris after the Marathon, a number of park-and-ride facilities have been identified close to the metro stations that will be running throughout the night. Spectators and other Parisians can already consult and reserve available parking spaces.
Other park-and-ride facilities are also available in the Île-de-France region

Additional RER trains for Marathon spectators serving Versailles
During this festive night, thousands of spectators and supporters are expected along the runners' route, notably in Versailles, where the Club 2024 fan zone is open every evening, with concerts and entertainment.
Three additional trains on the RER C until 01:30
To better serve the city and allow spectators to travel until late at night, additional RER C trains will run from Versailles-Château (Rive Gauche) station with three extra trains serving Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel Invalides, Saint-Michel Notre Dame and Bibliothèque François Mitterrand from Versailles-Château at 00:32, 01:00 and 01:30.
A special bus route for Versailles
In addition, a night bus route for spectators will operate from Versailles Château – Rive Gauche to La Motte Picquet-Grenelle.
Articulated buses with 100 seats are scheduled to run every 10 minutes between midnight and 03:00.
