Traffic forecasts for Paris and the inner suburbs, July 18-25, 2024

For the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Games the number public transport services will be increased

On the day the RER, metro...will be part of an increased level of public transport services in Île-de-France to bring spectators and residents safely to their destinations:
● Some stations on automatic metro lines (Lines 1, 4 and 14) will operate all night
● The RER Lines A and B lines will have additional services between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., and after 11 p.m.

Why will stations be closed before, during and after the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Games?
During major events like the Tour de France and 14th July celebrations, security protocols require the closure of public transport stations near the event venues.
The opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Games is no exception. Paris Police have requested the closure of certain stations and connections to ensure everyone's safety, facilitate the work of security and emergency services, and respect the security perimeters around the Seine.
