A Stopover at Willy Wonka's

On the RER A line, disembark two stops before Bussy-Saint-Georges, at Noisiel. A 15-minute walk from the station, you'll discover the superb Noisiel Park, bordered by the turquoise waters of the Marne River.

But above all, you can admire the former, enchanting, ornate chocolate factory that made Noisiel the French chocolate capital in the 19th century.

Although these magical buildings, which would have delighted Willy Wonka, are not currently open to the public, they are clearly visible from the park.

Champs-sur-Marne: fairytale Château

Two stops before heading to Vaires-sur-Marne on the RER A line, hop off at Noisiel to admire the Château de Champs-sur-Marne.

While a visit to this fairytale château, a jewel of classical architecture, is ticketed (but fascinating!), its vast romantic park offers its coolness and variety of landscapes free of charge.
